What is a Doula?

The EAC Center supports women and their families in pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum through mental, emotional, physical, and informational support. The role of your doula is to support you in advocating for yourself while feeling safe and empowered. You are not alone. A doula doesn't replace the birth partner instead doulas feel strongly about empowering them to confidently support the birthing person. Overall your doula will be there to help you have successful outcomes for you and your baby. The doula services offered are specifically designed to serve each individuals unique and personal needs during their birthing experience.
